Paramotor pilot flying among cloud-wrapped desert peaks in Baja California Sur

FLY BAJA

Paramotor tours — Baja California Sur

The experience

The Sea of Cortez is one of the most spectacular places on earth to fly a paramotor: empty beaches to launch from, turquoise coves, cactus-covered mountains — and some mornings, whale sharks, mobula rays, dolphins, and turtles cruising beneath your feet. I've spent years photographing this coastline from the air. Now I guide small groups through the best of it.

Wildlife from the sky

Flying slow and low over clear water is the best wildlife-viewing platform there is. No boat noise, no crowds — just you, the wind, and whatever swims into view. Season depending: whale sharks, mobula rays, dolphins, sea lions, and migrating whales.

Desert. Sea. Sky.

Sunrise flights over sandbars and mangrove lagoons. Cross-country runs along cliff lines where the desert falls straight into the sea. Remote islands and beaches you simply cannot reach any other way. Every day is built around the wind, the light, and what the group wants to fly.
